The iron crustacean realistically depicted, with fully movable tail, claws and legs; signed Myōchin to the side, 13.5cm.
Provenance: from the collection of William Cleverley Alexander (1840-1916), and thence by descent. Originally purchased from John Sparks, 6th May 1897, for £14. A copy of the original invoice is available.
