EDO/MEIJI, 18TH/19TH CENTURY
The fuchi signed, 7.5cm max. (6)
Variously decorated in copper, gold, silver and shakudo; including a fuchi with a large prancing shishi to one side and peonies to the other, possibly signed Kondo Masayoshi, with kao; three menuki, one modelled as two cranes in flight before a small boat, another a samurai on a sampan, and the third a bee resting amongst leaves and fruits; and two kozuka, one with a small rat next to Daikoku's mallet and sack of treasures; the other with three men seating by a small fire, warming a kettle over it.
