-1: a Japanese woodblock print by Utagawa Toyokuni I (1769-1825), from an album of prints entitled Yakusha konotegashiwa (Actors on Both Sides of the Leaf), 1803, published by Enjudō (Maruya Jinpachi);
-2: a Japanese woodblock print by Utagawa Toyokuni I (1769-1825), depicting a kabuki actor;
-3: an oban tate-e woodblock print by Utagawa Kunisada I / Toyokuni III (1786–1864), depicting an actor dressed as a female character standing beneath a flowering tree;
-4: an oban tate-e woodblock print by Utagawa Kunisada I / Toyokuni III (1786–1864), depicting actor Onoe Kikugorō playing the role of Omatsuri Sashichi in the kabuki play Edo Sodachi Omatsuri Sashichi;
-5: an oban tate-e woodblock print by Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1798-1861), entitled Kurahashi Zensuke Takeyuki, number 25 from the series Seichu gishi den (Biographies of Loyal and Righteous Samurai), signed Ichiyūsai Kuniyoshi ga, 1847-48; published by Ebiya Rinnosuke, with censors’ seals Mera and Murata;
-6: an oban tate-e woodblock print by Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1798-1861), the left-hand sheet from a triptych entitled Actors in Kanjinchō, depicting Ichikawa Danjūrō VIII as Minamoto no Yoshitsune, 1840; signed Ichiyūsai Kuniyoshi ga; published by Kawaguchiya Shōzō (Shōeidō, Eisendō), with censor's seal kiwame;
-7: and an oban tate-e woodblock print by Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1798-1861), depicting Chapter 16, Sekiya (Gatehouse) from the series Genji Kumo Ukiyo-e Awase (Pictures of today compared with the chapters of the Tale of Genji), 1845-46; signed Ichiyūsai Kuniyoshi ga; published by Iseya Ichibei, with censor’s seal watari.
