A RARE JAPANESE AI KAKIEMON BLUE AND WHITE DISH
EDO PERIOD, C.1670
The well decorated with two ho-o birds perched on a flowering branch of peony, the large blooms surrounding them and with rocky outcrops below; the rim painted with three mizuchi water dragons amongst lotus and other stylised flowerheads, the underside with further foliage and Buddhist symbols, the base with a fuku mark, 20.5cm.
