A gem-set gold clasped hand, double-ended desk seal, possibly late 19th century, Italian, one hand mounted with a snake design with ruby head to the wrist, the engraved oval matrix mounted with a carnelian engraved with the letters HE, the other hand with an elaborate cuff, set with an emerald, the matrix mounted with an octagonal carved bloodstone engraved with the same initials HE, 7.3cm high, fitted case
