A Neoclassical carnelian intaglio, the oval-shaped carnelian plaque engraved with a scene depicting 'Minerva seizing the monster Alcyneus by the hair, after he had been wounded by Hercules with an arrow', bearing the pseudo signature for the ancient engraver Kromos, set within a simple yellow gold brooch mount, c1800, 5.5cm wide
