A hardstone, sapphire and diamond centrepiece ornament, Chaumet, circa 1980, designed as a pair of asymmetrical ionic columns topped by a stylised lotus motif and stepped lapis lazuli plinth, to a conjoined round foot, composed of carved sections of solid malachite, jasper, lapis lazuli, onyx and rock crystal, mounted in gilt silver, set with brilliant-cut diamonds and suspending pendants collet-set with cabochon sapphires, signed Chaumet, Swiss and European convention assay marks for silver, measuring approximately 356 x 265 x 163mm, gross weight approximately 13.5kg.
