An early 20th century sapphire and diamond brooch, centred with an oval-shaped sapphire weighing approximately 5.50cts, within a surround of old circular-cut diamonds in platinum on gold, with further openwork surround set with single-cut diamonds and French-cut sapphires with scalloped edge in platinum, 3.5cm wide

Accompanied by report number 5782-924 from GCS stating that the sapphire is natural with no indications of heat treatment. Origin: Sri Lanka (Ceylon).
