An early 20th century brooch by Cartier, designed as three panther kittens peering out of a basket, pave-set with circular-cut diamonds, emerald eyes and ruby tongue to the centre kitten, the basket and handle set with further diamonds and stylised wicker-wear body in platinum, on a base line of calibre-cut synthetic sapphires, signed to the base 'Cartier Paris', inventory number 5290, 3.6cm wide.
