We are delighted to present our Summer Fine Jewellery auction, which includes over 500 lots from Victorian to Art Deco, showcasing a number of beautiful historic pieces.

Among the 19th century pieces, the large diamond and ruby butterfly brooch (Lot 559) and the sapphire, diamond and ruby bee brooch (Lot 397) are just two examples of the insect-themed jewellery that continues to enjoy collectors’ interest. Another well-loved area is Art Deco jewellery, and our sale reflects the variety of materials and makers from this period, from the Mauboussin diamond bracelet (Lot 558) to the Berlioz Leroy gold and enamel chinoiserie vanity case (Lot 246). Other important pieces are the impressive Art Deco ruby and diamond ring (Lot 561) and the delicate Art Deco floral diamond strap bracelet (Lot 563).

Coloured stones and natural pearls feature prominently in this sale, a field in which gem quality is paramount. Not to be missed are the spinel and diamond ring (Lot 557) and the emerald and diamond ‘Toi et Moi’ ring (Lot 562), as well as the sapphire and diamond cluster ring (Lot 534) and the ruby and diamond cluster ring (Lot 554), both of which centre on stones of Burma origin. There is also a choice selection of natural pearls, from the Belle Epoque natural pearl and diamond pendant necklace (Lot 533), the single row natural pearl necklace (Lot 568) and the pair of natural pearl and diamond drop earrings (Lot 514), to the Art Deco natural pearl and diamond bracelet (Lot 502).

Modern and contemporary jewellery is another strong area of this sale. We are pleased to offer a selection of striking parures, including an emerald and diamond example (Lot 556), two ruby and diamond examples (Lots 560 and 569), and a diamond example (Lot 566). Pieces by important makers include the Bulgari pink sapphire and diamond ear clips (Lot 564), the Tiffany & Co diamond ‘Bubble’ necklace and bracelet (Lots 408 and 409), the De Grisogono emerald and diamond earrings (Lot 565) and a selection of Kutchinsky pieces (Lots 341-351). This sale also includes a selection of watches, including the Rolex gentleman's gold Oyster Perpetual Day-Date wristwatch (Lot 231), the IWC lady's white gold and diamond wristwatch (Lot 224), the Audemars Piguet gentleman's gold wristwatch (Lot 229) and the Boucheron lady's white gold and diamond wristwatch (Lot 223).
