An early-18th century devotional necklace, probably Spanish, comprising seven graduated panels with various biblical scenes, mounted in gold Rococo foliate scrolling asymmetrical frames, each containing gold figures with white sections and red painted highlights, two row back chain with plain and striated links, each graduated closed back panel joined with gold Rococo links and mounted under clear faceted glass, with additional conforming brooch, the largest panel 3.2cm wide (not including frame), the necklace 46cm

Each panel depicts, from the left:

The Parable of Jesus explaining to the Samaritan women about 'living water', John baptising Jesus, Jesus resurrecting Lazarus or perhaps Christ rising from the dead, the central panel, Goliath killed by David, Moses' men returning from Canaan with a massive bunch of grapes, Baby Moses discovered by Pharaohs daughter, the separate brooch, Adoration of the Magi Parable
