A French early 19th century devotional pendant by Jean Dampt, retailed by Cartier, designed as a reliquary, the case with engine-turn decoration with rose-cut diamond-set bale, the push piece with a ruby-set latin cross, opening to reveal a miniature figure of St Anthony of Padua, the figure base signed J Dampt. Sc, the cross numbered 34, inventory number 1598, rubbed marks to bale (possibly French control mark and maker's lozenge), 4.5cm high
