An early 20th Century pearl pendant, the pear shaped natural pearl suspends from a gold foliate cap decorated with green enamel, suspended from a realistically formed faience scarab. Engraved to the reverse with hieroglyphics. Mounted within a snake form frame decorated with green enamel, on a chain alternately formed with green enamel gold bar links and seed pearls. Green enamel decoration to the gold swivel clip. 16cm in total. With report number 05448 from The Gem and Pearl Laboratory dated 21st October 2011 stating that the part drilled pearl measures 10.5-11.5mm wide by 17-19mm long and is natural (saltwater).
