A 19th century insect brooch

A 19th century insect brooch, set overall with graduated pearls and cushion shaped diamonds in silver and gold. Cabochon ruby eyes.

Accompanied by report number 09228 dated 14th January 2014 stating that the two part-drilled (one with two drill holes) pearls measure 7.8 - 7.9 x 7.4mm and 7.0 - 7.7 x 8.2mm and are natural saltwater pearls.
