An Art Deco silver gilt rectangular vanity case by Cartier, black enamel decoration overall with four diamond-set arrow-form motifs and conforming arrow-form handle to the hinged cover which is also mounted with a bevel-edged mirror to the interior, the internal hinged cover is engraved with initials MLS which opens to reveal a rectangular compartment, marked for Cartier Paris, French control marks and makers mark (slightly rubbed but probably for Paul Pillard who registered firstly in December 1926), fitted box marked for Cartier
