The principal examples include: the head of a Plantagenet king with swivelling green chrysoberyl base; a mortar cannon with sardonyx base also engraved with a cannon; an elephant with nicolo onyx base; a hound with hinged base opening to reveal a hair locket compartment; a coloured gold vine seal with matching watch key.
