A Burmese ruby and diamond ring by Marcus, the oval-shaped ruby set either side with a tapered baguette-shaped diamond to each shoulder with foliate carved platinum shank. Signed Marcus to the inner shank. Size P 1/2. Case by Carrington & Co.

Accompanied by report number 11188 dated 24th April 2015 from The Gem and Pearl Laboratory, London stating that the rectangular cushion-shaped ruby measures 8.1 x 7.0 x 3.8mm, weighs 2.30ct and is a natural ruby, with no evidence of treatment. Origin: Burma.
