ANDREI ADLER, AN EARLY 20TH CENTURY RUSSIAN GOLD AND ENAMEL DESK SEAL, CIRCA 1908-1912, of tapering cylindrical form decorated with guilloché enamel and gold mounts, terminating in a blank seal, with makers marks for AA Andrei Adler, stamped 72 and with a kokoshnik, length 7cm

Andrei Adler (c.1855-1912) was a prominent St Petersburg jeweller who ran his own workshop 'Adler & Co.'. He was a workmaster for Fabergé as well as a purveyor to the Russian Imperial Court.
