A pair of 19th century Italian micromosaic drop earrings

A pair of 19th century Italian micromosaic drop earrings, c1870, the Revival earrings each centred with a micromosaic oval plaque depicting a beetle within fine twisted rope design borders, suspended from circular discs and three baton-shaped pendants below, with Papal mitre and cross keys mark, obscure maker's mark and two French control marks.

Accompanied by original purchase receipt from Trianon Antiques dated 3rd September 1998.
