An early 18th Century Stirling silver pear cased pocket watch, the silver skeleton dial signed Kipling with date aperture on a foliate scroll ground. Black enamel roman numeral hour, chapter ring with outer Arabic markers at five minutes. Balance cock pierced with birds and foliate gold decoration with grotesque mask. Signed 'Will Kipling, London 186'. The case numbered 186 and signed 'T. I'. beneath a crown possibly for Thomas Jollis of Fetter Lane c.1721. With assorted watch papers including a lace example with presentation 'M W to T D'.
