A Victorian 18ct gold snuff box

A Victorian 18ct gold snuff box, the hinged cover mounted with a fine micromosaic image of a recumbent spaniel in a rural scene. Engine turned decoration overall, vacant cartouche to base and chased with foliate scroll borders and thumb piece. Alfred Taylor 1855. 6.8cm wide. With later pierced silver gilt grille conversion.
