A late 18th century French two colour gold quarter repeating verge watch set with rose cut diamonds. By Freres Melly, Paris. Signed white enamel dial with black Roman chapters and outer Arabic minute ring. Diamond set pierced hands. With an elaborate chased and embossed two colour gold case with rose diamond set bezel. The reverse with oval enamel miniature depicting a woman wearing a yellow bonnet, within diamond border. With an early 19th century French three colour gold Chatelaine with enamel portrait miniature and floriate panels. The upper triangular panel set with diamonds. Suspending a scissor case, watch key, stone pendant, and pendant locket. The Chatelaine 13cm high. Believed to have been presented by Czar Alexander III of Russia to the celebrated singer Adelina Patti.
