A Turkish flintlock blunderbuss

A Turkish flintlock blunderbuss, three-stage barrel 20.5 in., the muzzle section with moulded decoration and a medial ridge, behind this a spirally fluted section separated by brass half-bands, the breech section hexagonal with further brass inlay; English lock, the inside of the plate marked 'WILKES' and with a crowned inspection mark, the outer surfaces covered with foliate engraving; full stock with bone cap and tail pipe, profusely inlaid with mother-o'-pearl, bone and brass wire; characteristic attenuated butt with brass plate; steel trigger guard; wooden ramrod with brass tip and steel worm.
