A 54 bore Adams patent five shot self-cocking revolver, made under licence by William Tranter and retailed by Blanch & Son, sighted hexagonal barrel 6.5 in, top of frame engraved 'J. BLANCH & SON, GRACECHURCH STREET LONDON' within a scrolling border, frame engraved with foliate scrolls and 'ADAMS PATENT', numbered 20190Y, with Tranter's 2nd type ramming lever, arbor pin retained by a leaf spring, cylinder with a narrow band of engraving and having London Company proof marks, chequered wooden grip; in associated re-lined fitted case with Sykes powder flask, bullet mould, nipple key with pricker screwed into the handle, rammer, oiler, wad punch, bullet box; and offered with an alternative fitted case with William Powell trade label.
