An English flintlock blunderbuss, brass two-stage hexagonal-to-round barrel 14.5 in., flaring muzzle, top flat of the breech engraved 'MAIDSTONE', ordnance commercial proof marks, lock with bevelled plate engraved with scrolling foliage at the tail, swan-necked cock; walnut cock with well-engraved brass furniture, trigger guard with acorn finial, openwork side plate; c. 1800, with associated steel ram rod.
