An Indian sword (tulwar), curved blade of shamshir type 30.5 in.; gilt-steel hilt of Indo-Muslim form with short quillons, swollen grip, disc pommel, and a knuckle bow terminating in a lotus bud; red fabric covered scabbard with gilt copper mounts.

Provenance: The collection of Edward Croft-Murray CBE (1907-1980).
