Four European swords: a small sword, 18th century, hollow triangular-section blade 31.5 in., silver hilt with chiseled and pierced double shell guard embellished with martial trophies, part scabbard (missing chape); a British 1845 pattern infantry officer's sword, etched blade with stag's head crest and initials 'E.M.', steel scabbard; Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry: a British 1897 pattern infantry officer's sword, George V, light model blade etched with regimental title and battle honours, by Wilkinsons and numbered 32175, regulation hilt, leather covered scabbard (lacking shoe); and a Continental or U.S. style cavalry sword, slender curved blade, brass multi-bar hilt, horn grip, steel scabbard.
