JUNE' and dated 1943, Garrard London 1942; British War Medal 1914-20 and Victory Medal (MID. G. J. SCOTT. R.N.); 1939-45 Star; Atlantic Star; Burma Star; War Medal 1939-45; Naval General Service Medal 1909-62, George VI, clasp: S.E. Asia 1945-46 (CDR. G. J. SCOTT. D.S.C. R.N.); Special Constabulary Long Service Medal, Elizabeth II (GERALD J. SCOTT); mounted for wearing, the first two campaign stars brighter in colour than the last, all good very fine. [9]; together with a mounted group of dress miniature medals, corresponding in every respect except that the last medal is a George VI issue.

Gerald Joel Scott was born on the 27th of April 1899 and entered the Royal Navy on the 5th of February 1917. His first ship, in which he served as Midshipman, was H.M.S. King George V. He was put on the retired list in the inter-war years, but returned to service for the Second World War. His D.S.C. was awarded for service in H.M.S. Port Quebec, a minelayer involved in establishing the Northern Barrage. He was later posted to the Far East. After the war, he returned to work in the family jewellery business, becoming a prominent member of the British Jewellers' Association.
