A British 1796 pattern heavy cavalry trooper's sword, spear point blade 34.25 in., with inspection stamp and the back marked for Osborne & Gunby, regulation hilt with disc guard and narrow lower langets, knuckle guard inscribed with 'E' over '20', steel scabbard with leather cover.
