A 102 bore Bentley patent self-cocking five-shot percussion revolver, serial number A757, octagonal barrel 4.25 in. with radiused muzzle, top flat inscribed for the retailer 'W. EGAN. BRADFORD.', Colt type rammer with bulbous terminal incised with a reeded band, open-topped frame engraved with acanthus scrolls and inscribed 'Patent. No A757', engraved hammer with Joseph Bentley's hammer nose safety stop, acanthus engraved grip frame, chequered wooden grips, Birmingham proof. Section 58(2) - no licence required if possessed as a curiosity or ornament.
