The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire: The Medal of the Order for Meritorious Service (British Empire Medal) to Miss Lenora Cornish, with bow ribbon (MISS LENORA CORNISH), in original card box and together with a dress miniature BEM; accompanied by a small collection of associated photographs and documents giving an insight into Miss Cornish's valuable work for the aircraft manufacturer A.V. Roe & Company Ltd.

B.E.M. London Gazette 12th June 1947 (Assistant Stock Controller). At the time of this award Miss Cornish had already worked for A.V. Roe for 30 years, including, of course, the critical period of the Second World War. She would not retire until 1960.
