Wiltshire Regiment: a privately made post war bracelet, oval plaque impressed: 'SERGT MAJOR LEE D.C.M.& BAR HANTS/WILTS RGT 1914-19', marked 'Sterling', curb link chain; together with two regimental histories: Major W.S. Shepherd M.C., 'The Second Battalion Wiltshire Regiment (99th) A Record of their Fighting in the Great War, 1914-18', and Captain J.S. McMath, 'The Fifth Battalion the Wiltshire regiment in North-West Europe June 1944-May 1945'. [3]
Sergeant Sampson J. Lee won his first DCM in 1915 with the Hampshire Regiment (conspicuous gallantry in reconnoitering), and his second with 7th Wilts in October 1918 (for leadership of his platoon in battle.)
