This catalogue offers more than two hundred lots of orders, medals, decoration and insignia; as well as a number of rare and desirable items in the arms, armour and militaria categories.

A Distinguished Service Order for the Dunkirk Evacuations and a private single-owner consignment of over 120 orders, decoration and medals are among the highlights of the medal section; and this will be followed by another fine private collection consisting of more than sixty items of masonic insignia including many early and scarce examples.

Devotees of British Naval history should note that we offer here a Lloyds Patriotic Fund sword presented for a daring cutting-out action in 1804, as well as two examples of the handwriting of Admiral Lord Nelson.

The firearms section features a very rare Holland and Holland ‘Aero’ gun, supplied to the Royal Naval Air Service in 1914 for anti-Zeppelin warfare; and this lot finds an echo in a nice collection of Zeppelin relics and memorabilia in the Militaria section.
