A Waterloo Medal to Thomas Mitchell, 51st Foot, (THOMAS MITCHELL 51ST REG: LIGHT INFANTRY), fitted with later suspension involving a hinged bar engraved 'PENINSULAR'. Edge bruising, fine.

Enlisted 4th May 1809 at Halifax. Joined battalion 25th September 1809. Sick at Coimbra June -December 1811. Present with battalion as Private 1814-1818 (WO/126183 to WO/12-6186). Not on published MGS roll (Mullen).
