A military flail

A military flail, or 'morning star', steel reinforced wooden haft (apparently adapted from an item of furniture), united by a short chain to a wooden ball set with seven iron spikes (possibly Great War German); together with a late 19th/early 20th Century bowie knife with folding handle, brown leather scabbard; and a WWII British brodie helmet.
