A Japanese dagger (tanto), blade 10.75 in., hira-zukuri with horimono: goma hashi to one side and suken to the other; copper habaki with nekogaki, gilt bronze openwork tsuba with relief decoration of an eagle, tape wrapped same grip; associated saya lacquered in imitation of cherry bark, horn kurigata; kogatana with inscription to the blade, the shakudo kozuka with gilt highlighted horse in relief.
