An ornate pair of cuisses and poleyns
An ornate pair of cuisses and poleyns, the cuisses fretted with a geometric design including scrolls formed by interlocking tear drops and with a rope twist upper edge; the poleyns with pronounced vertical ridges to the protruding knee guards, side wings with rope twist edges and tear drop apertures, two articulated lames above and three below, lowest lame of the left poleyn struck with indistinct armourer's mark, in the 16th Century manner and thought to be of the period.
