An English 16 bore flintlock pistol by Blair and Sutherlands, barrel 8.5 in., struck 'B&S' and 'LONDON', private ordnance proof marks, lock marked 'BLAIR AND SUTHERLANDS', walnut full stock with brass furniture, horn tipped ramrod, first decade of the 19th century.

Blackmore places this maker at 54 Minories, London (as well as in Birmingham) and states that they were contractors to the Ordnance.
