A British pattern 1831 General Officer's sword attributable to General Hugh Castle Smith, Lancashire Fusiliers and ADC to King Faud of Egypt, etched blade with 'S.J. PILLIN, 31 GERRARD ST LONDON W' in four lines to the ricasso, gilt brass hilt with crossed sword and baton within a wreath to the quillon block, ivory grips, plated steel scabbard, complete with a sword knot.
