A Middle Eastern white metal Christmas presentation salver, of lobed form and with profuse engraved decoration of foliage inhabited by birds, inscribed 'SQD LDR H. QUITTENDEN 25.12.50', diameter 31 cm; together with a Norah Wellings Airman doll and an Air Ministry Mk III F* Navigational Computer. Harold Quittenden served a night fighter Radio Observer and instructor during the Second World War, and was stationed afterwards at R.A.F. Habbaniya, Iraq. (See also lot **)
