Our June sale features over 350 lots of 20^th Century and Contemporary art. Amongst the highlights of the British and Irish paintings are works by Ivon Hitchens, Jack Butler Yeats, Edward Burra, Duncan Grant, and Mary Fedden. The undoubted highlight of the European pictures is Henri Matisse’s Grande Odalisque à la Culotte Bayadère, one of the most significant prints of the 20^th Century. The auction includes several important collections, including a large group of paintings by Lamorna Birch from the late Austin Wormleighton, the authority on the artist.
