Nathaniel Hone (Irish 1831-1917) Stone Pines, near Cannes Oil on canvas 33 x 46cm; 13 x 18in Painted in the 1870's. In 1853 Hone, aged 21 moved to Paris and spent 20 years on the Continent. This work is similar to Goats and Pine Trees, South of France in the National Gallery of Ireland
