John Paul (c.1830-c.1890) View of Greenwich Hospital from the East Oil on canvas 62 x 73cm; 24½ x 28¾in For a similar view of Greenwich Hospital see the work by George Chambers in the National Maritime Museum painted in 1835. The present work appears to be based on another very similar view by Chambers which was engraved by J.B. Allen and published by J.S. Virtue around 1840, now whereabouts unknown.
