We are grateful to Prof. David Marshall for confirming the attribution to Codazzi and Spadaro. Prof. Marshall dates the painting to the early-mid1640s. Codazzi and Spadaro worked closely together in Naples throughout the 1640s, with the former painting the architecture and the latter the figures.
