A large English enamel table snuff box c.1780

A large English enamel table snuff box c.1780, the rectangular form painted to the hinged cover with travellers and a donkey beside a winding river, the sides with further landscape panels within raised gilt scroll borders on a white ground, good restoration to the cover, 11.6cm across.

Condition Report

There is extensive lacquer to the cover, inside and out. This appears to disguise cracking and possible some edge chipping to the interior but the damage is not obvious to the upper surface. There has possibly been a little repainting to the tree. There is a little cracking to the corners of the base.
