An English enamel snuff box c.1775, the embossed cover decorated with a large bird with outstretched wings and head lowered, within a colourful scroll border, the sides with sprays of flowers, some good restoration, 7.6cm.
Condition Report
There is extensive spray covering the box's cover inside and out. There is evidence of repainting to the top right corner and along parts of the edge, suggesting some chipping underneath. There is some further spray to the box base, which appears to disguise some cracking and likely some chipping along the bottom edge and possibly the corners. The restoration is of a good quality.
