An Edwardian silver jewellery box,

by Horton and Allday, Birmingham 1904,

rounded rectangular form, the cover with a spray of flowers, the sides with sinuous Art Nouveau decoration, on four bracket feet, the interior silk and velvet lined, with with six recesses to fit rings, length 11.5cm.

Condition Report

Marks are good, cover is part marked, stands flat on a tabletop, hinge is good, cover closes flush, some slight wear to the velvet and silk lining, details of the decoration are good, overall fine surface scratches, the cartouche on the cover has probably been erased and is whippy.
