Rupert studied at the the Bartlett School of Architecture, but spent most of his time at the Slade School of Fine Art. He specialised in the methods and materials of artists, developing his own unique method of painting in the almost forgotten medium of egg tempera. Rupert went on to complete his MA in Landscape Architecture at ETH Zurich.

Today Rupert runs his own landscape design practice and paints towards an annual solo exhibition. Landscape is at the core of all his work. Rupert has been hailed as a contemporary painter to watch.
