Rory's photographic awards include D and AD, 2 AOP Golds and the Sony World Photographic. He has taught photographic theory to undergraduates and Fellows on the Chevening Research Fellowships at Oxford University and runs a 5-year writing and photographic programme with young asylum seekers through Asylum Welcome.
In 2017/2018 Rory devised and created the National Crime Agency's campaign to highlight the issue of Modern Slavery. This resulted in a touring exhibition that ended at Westminster Abbey and an online exhibit that had over 9 million engagements. In 2018/2019 he collaborated with a people who have experienced homelessness to recreate a series of British iconic images.
