Vinicius Les is a multidisciplinary visual artist whose practice spans drawing, painting, ceramics, printmaking, and sculptural pottery. Rooted in a deep engagement with materiality and process, their work explores the interdependent relationship between the human and natural worlds—how we inhabit, alter, and echo nature, and how, in turn, it persists beyond us.

Drawing from the organic structures of the vegetal realm, Vinicius’s forms rarely strive for direct representation. Instead, he operate through a visual language of dot, line, and shape—deployed across both bi- and tri-dimensional space—to evoke the subconscious familiarity of the natural regnum. Vinicius’ practice navigates the liminal terrain between abstraction and recognition, creating pieces that feel unearthed rather than constructed, as though grown rather than made.

Alongside their studio work, Vinicius maintains a parallel practice as an educator, particularly through the facilitation of clay-based workshops designed for autistic young adults with a strong interest in art. This educational engagement, far from ancillary, reflects a broader artistic philosophy: one that values responsiveness, slowness, and individual voice. Informed by the aesthetics of art brut and the phenomenology of John Dewey, his teaching embodies the same principles found in his artwork—attentiveness to process, tactility, and the unfolding of meaning through making.
